Meeting minutes NYC
Members Present: Chris A, Chris D, Ali D, Vicki M, David W, Matt R, Nardine P. Guest speaker: Jun Liu (landscaping expert)
Absent: Janice Green.
Focus on Meeting: Discussion for ultimate goals and visualization of use of space. Discussed phases and agreed. Matt R brought architectural drawing of his vision designed with input from Chris A. Jun shared input on appropriate trees, plants to be most useful and cost effective for purposes.
Due to poor quality of top layer of dirt, discussed cost effective plans for removal. David W willing to pay for removal of poor quality fill for outside project. This would allow for access to better quality soil underneath for planting as well as property development.
Majority agreed on Labyrinth garden with bricks – requested specific designs be brought to January or February mtg for discussion and initial plan. Would be included in next phase of development.
Discussed pro’s/con’s of permanent / temporary building on east side of property. Matt reported development of building able to occur in stages based on financing available.
Goals for next meeting: January 7th, 2020
1. Discuss the following property management takeaways from this meeting (see below)
– Drawing of desired phase 1 site grade, with contour lines so we can see desired topology
– Establish if we need a permit for site grading
– Assessment of how best to grade the site, taking David’s offer into consideration
2. Bring ideas of Labyrinth Garden to meeting
3. Annual meeting – recap for year, (re)elect new officers for 2 year terms
